My First Trip to Japan! #3: Cityhopping with a JR pass

As you know, we left Okinawa to go to Fukuoka.
Bye, beautiful blue sea! I'll miss Okinawa and I'll definitely have to go back there some day!

My First Trip to Japan! #2 Okinawa Adventures and Off to New Places!

Being the smart person I am I didn't test the adapters I had. I took my laptop hoping I'd be able to make blog entries with the pictures from my camera but well... nope.
Sorry!

We had three full days in Okinawa, Naha.
A Convenience Store just around the corner supplied us with most of our food. Jetlag lasted for a day and a half, but we took walks around the city and relaxed with small picnics. After all, we really needed a break from all of the excitement! Actually being in Japan was so weird.

My first trip to Japan! #1: A long, long way.

Our flight left in the evening. After finding our seats we realized: It's going to take almost eleven hours just until Tokyo. Woah.
It's hard to believe this is actually happening.
We had dinner, watched a movie, tried to sleep at least a bit (impossible for me)...

And then the sky lit up in the east as we got closer to our destination.
In short: We are exhausted, but we arrived safely. And delicious food is everywhere.

Planning my first trip to JAPAN!

In just two weeks I'll be going on my first trip to Japan - I can hardly believe it.
I've been dreaming of going there for about 15 years and now that I could finally save up and practise my Japanese I'm starting to get nervous. After all, it's a super long trip for someone who usually takes only one week off for a short visit of London.

Everything has been planned out. I love planning. I even make plans when I'm somewhere for just one day, even if I've been to the city several times before (...London, anyone?)!

So although it might not work for you because you love being spontaneous, I'm going to start my favourite YouTube Vlogs, stare at the screen dreaming for days on end, cover my bed and desk and floors in pamphlets and magazines and get my excel and note book ready because...

Outing Report: Phantastic Library in Wetzlar

Hello, my dear Readers!

Yes, I know, it's been a long time. I won't make any promises for posting more often because... let's face it, a blog is like a diary and most of the time I just forget writing something @_@ Sorry!
Nonetheless I am happy if somebody actually reads, or, dare I say, even comments anything.

This post is about the Phantastic Library ("Die Phantastische Bibliothek") in Wetzlar.
I had an outing with some students and our teacher from university and I was amazed by the concept. The website can be found [url=http://www.phantastik.eu]here[/url] - it is a library dedicated to collect novels and short stories of the Science-Fiction and Fantasy genre as well as fairytales, adventure novels, fanzines and lots more. They also offer courses on writing, reading, working with theories from Science-Fiction novels and more...! Sound interesting? Oh yes, it is. I'd just LOVE to move there. Because, well... everyone who knows me knows that books are one of my favourite addictions. I can be unnerving when browsing bookstores and I always have at least one book in my purse.

Romantic Winter in Venice

Early this year I had a short trip to rome, two days in Venice and a few hours in Amsterdam. Venice, the half-island with water roads and the colorful carnival, has a very romantic feeling even if you only hear the name of the city. Surprising though, that you can find there is an actual city of Venice which is much like the smaller cities around my home town and does not seem very romantic at all!
But a short bus or train ride away, you pass a long bridge to the island, walking over a bridge you see all the tourist boats, bus-like ships and the gondola... so pretty. Old houses and narrow, gloomy paths between them give a mysterious feeling, and the cool yet not cold air is so nice and fresh in January.

Lolita Vacation coming up!

Hello, my dear readers!

Tomorrow I will go on vacation. I prepared since April for this and I am so happy! I will go to Berlin and from there a friend and I will fly to London. LONDON ♥ I love this city so much. The last time I went there was about four years ago, it was a school trip. This time we decided to make it a Lolita Holiday!

So what exactly is the plan?
Well, we will be walking around London in our lolita dresses. We searched the web for the last months to build up a basic wardrobe, ordering from Bodyline and Kleiderkreisel (a german second hand website). Now these dresses are going to accompany me:

I won't wear the blue one in London, though. This is for having cake in Berlin. As a beginner Lolita, I had a bit of trouble choosing the dresses which I wanted to order - but that will be the subject of another post.

While I am away enjoying my fairytale-time I will leave some scheduled posts for you ;) The next will be a short one about my trip to Venice this January with some pictures I took!
